BRITAIN'S CLOSEST ENCOUNTERS
Anthony is the narrator on 'Britain's Closest Encounters' - a documentary series examining the most astonishing and baffling UFO stories from around the UK. The programme airs on **Channel 5 (UK) on Wednesday's from 8.00pm - 9.00pm.

Anthony plays the lead character, Nathan Wallace/Repo Man, a father during the day and organ repossessor at night. The movie is scheduled for release in North America on November 7th, 2008. A Repo! soundtrack is scheduled for release on September 30th, 2008. Repo is scheduled to screen at the Montreal 'Fantasia Film Festival' on Friday, July 18th, 2008. The screening is open to the public. Information is available on the festival *website. |

On July 24th, 2008, director Darren Lynn Bousman is scheduled to hold a panel discussion about 'Repo' at Comic Con 2008, which runs from July 24th - 27th in San Diego California. For more information please visit the Comic Con *website. |

'MERLIN' UK
Anthony will be appearing in a new BBC 1 (UK) 13 part series called 'Merlin', which will air on Saturday evenings in the autumn of 2008. The series will focus on the early life of Merlin, the wizard featured in the legend of Camelot, and Arthur. Anthony will play Uther Pendragon, the king, and Arthur's father. MERLIN USA
NBC announced in their 2008 fall line-up that 'Merlin' will air in the winter of 2008/09 on Sunday nights from 8 - 9pm. A US air date will be announced when it becomes available.

'RIPPER'
We can now confirm that 'Ripper' may be given a green light for development. Although one step nearer the possibility of becoming a reality, it is still subject to there being a script. If made, it would be a one-off 90 minute TV movie.
If and when more information becomes available it will be announced here on Anthony's website.

UPCOMING AND AIRING RADIO WORK
'BLEAK EXPECTATIONS: SERIES 2'
Anthony will be starring as Mr Gently Benevolent in a second series of 'Bleak Expectations' on BBC Radio 4. An air date will be announced when confirmed.
Bleak Expectations is the remarkable adventures of young Philip Bin as he struggles to rescue himself and his sisters from the plotting of his guardian, the scheming, evil and badly-named Mr Gently Benevolent, and the blood-curdling Hardthrasher brothers.
A Victorian epic of awful schools including the aptly named St Bastards, worse prisons, nuns at St Bitches, giant rabbits, and long lost super-hero aunts, in the style of Charles Dickens after far too much gin. If you liked Blackadder then this historical romp is very much up your street. This is the latest comedy from Mark Evans (writer) and Gareth Edwards (producer) of Mitchell and Webb and features a big name cast including, Celia Imrie, Geoffrey Whitehead, Richard Johnson, Tom Allen and James Bachman.
A BBC Audio CD of the second series will be released on the 9th October, 2008. Full order details below.

| GILES THE DONKEY'S ADVENTURE TO RAISE FUNDS
FOR 'SAFE HAVEN FOR DONKEYS IN THE HOLY LAND*** Giles, a cuddly knitted donkey, has begun a world-wide journey to raise much-need funds for Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land. Giles, who is named after Anthony's character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, began his journey at the home of Anthony and Sarah. It is hoped that this will be the start of many adventures for the intrepid Giles, who even has his own blog to share photos and details of his travels. You can visit his blog *here. ROYAL UNITED HOSPITAL BATH'S FOREVER FRIENDS APPEAL
Please support our fundraiser for the Royal United Hospital Bath's Forever Friends Appeal! Anthony has autographed a limited number of programmes from the Jamie Cullum 'Live on the Rec' concert that was held in July 2005. These autographed programmes are available for a donation of £25 or more to the Forever Friends Appeal. This appeal is open to global participation and credit cards will be accepted.

Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land has rescued another male donkey that has been named Giles 2. If you would like to make a gift donation, or donate on your own behalf, all proceeds will go towards the veterinary care of Giles 2. ASIA'S BIG 5 AND THE MOON BEARS

Here’s your opportunity to bring
worldwide recognition to moon bears – and it takes less than a minute. I’m sure you’ve heard of Africa’s Big 5 – the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. Now Asian Geographic magazine is running “Asia’s Big 5 Contest” to recognise five animals that are unique to Asia. The Asia Geo team has already chosen the panda, the tiger and the orangutan. They are giving the general public the chance to choose Asia’s remaining two iconic animals! The Asiatic black bear is often lowly regarded in Asia as an animal that is solely important for its bile. Guillermo Habacuc Vargas: We received a letter drafted by someone who obviously felt passionately about this subject. I feel strongly enough to ask Liz to include the Ministerio de Cultura de Costa Rica contact details below on the site - please look into these allegations and perhaps write something yourself. At least Google the artist and check his "artwork" out - there's a YouTube piece that includes the "exhibit" itself and it's heartbreaking. For myself, I find deliberate cruelty to animals abhorrent.
