In 1983, Anthony was in a band called

| "Face in the Window" and
"Chinatown" were released as Two Way. The group was created by producer Ron
Roker and comprised Anthony and a girl keyboard player. They got a singles deal with an
independent arm of EMI records. When the keyboard player dropped out, and the record
company wanted more, Anthony brought in bass player Jamie Thomson, and Two Way was
re-invented. They recorded a song called "All Dressed Up" written by guitarist
Roger Planer, and "Nole Me Tangere" - one of Anthony's. Sales were sufficient in Europe to interest the company in making an album, so Two Way's manager went in to talk albums. A huge row ensued over the top of the manager's head, between the Head of Marketing and the A&R guy, and the record company folded. As a result of this, Two Way never got the album deal. |
